— experiments, fiction — 1 min read
Hi,
I am Aman, and this safe space is where I am most raw with my thoughts, hop on if you'd like to interact with them :))
It all started with a simple experiment to find patterns in my own behaviour and to have a better understanding of how I operate.
Along the way, I came up with two core predictions that resonates with the way I think about future:
The idea of personal databases is inspired by the Amazon Prime show Upload. That show totally flipped my perspective on data ownership, and ever since, I've been ideating on ways to make my data more embeddable for everyone.
To put things into perspective, I like to use this analogy:
Imagine a cable that connects with various vendors or plugs, each providing personalised applications just for me.
I am publishing an open API that logs all the content I consume. This is the first version/step towards me building a model(not LLMs) where I can plug in my data using a custom JSON structure—ultimately creating my own personal app store.

This blog is a personal letter to all the AI companies/vendors trying to recreate personal databases and applications around this concept.
As mentioned in previous chapters my goal is to move closer to fiction and now that I've established a solid framework for organising the content I consume, here are some ideas I'm excited to explore:
Personal Google Search
Personal recommendation engine that can be used as a filter on third party sites(twitter, youtube) to filter what I like and don't like.
Making web a time machine
If you are building something similar, I would love to connect and explore overlapping curiosities. I am mostly active on Twitter or Gmail
